Updates!

Wow! It has certainly been a while since my last post. Things have been busy. I recently (well a few weeks ago now) visited Shinichi Nakagawa at the University of Otago to learn the ins-and-outs of meta-analysis. Shinichi gave a great little workshop on how to start, manage and analyze meta-analytic projects, which was a major benefit to those (such as myself) who are interested in starting to do meta-analysis. I got to see some wild looking NZ reptiles while I was there such as the famous Tuatara and some very cool Jewelled geckos. Although Dunedin is a very cold place compared with Sydney, I had a fantastic trip to New Zealand and I learned a lot from Shinichi and all of his excellent lab members!

Martin and I have also been busy with the Eulamprus, running them through some very interesting social learning experiments, which we hope to finish up soon. I am still amazed at what these lizards can learn! We are also finding some interesting results from the project we did while Dr. Qi Yin was visiting the lab and we are currently writing this paper up. Needless to say, there is lots happening and I will try to make more regular posts to keep everyone updated and to inform everyone of new papers.
